(You can click the two lines on the top left of this page to access my blog, but please read the note below first…😊)
This site it’s meant for mature Christians who have been in Christ for quite a long time, and for leaders and ministers in the body of Christ. 🤗 If you do not fall into that category, please connect with me instead at letterstoafriend.blog, a much lighter and more peaceful venue!🥰
For those who choose to continue…
In the Book of Revelation, and in the Gospels, our Lord Jesus Christ tells people to hear what is being said by the Holy Spirit. When I write, I am expressing my thoughts, most certainly, but I do believe God’s Holy Spirit is working through me and in me, and that there are things He desires to share with others through me. I am not a perfect vessel. I have been blessed for many years to know people in many walks of the body of Jesus Christ. I know that God desires for His body to be in unity. I also know the different denominations and non denominations have different strengths and weaknesses and often very different understandings of scripture. Some doctrine is clear Scriptural facts. Other is based on conclusions of Scripture or traditions, which, according to Scripture can be good or bad. Most Christians tend to believe they are the ones correctly hearing God’s Spirit and correctly interpreting God’s Word.🤔😊 I’ve yet to meet a Baptist pastor convinced the Catholic priests were more adept and accurate in the Word than they, nor have I ever met a Catholic priest to strongly recommend a Lutheran church or a nondenominational minister to recommend his congregation become Mennonite. It is one of the great mysteries of human nature to me, and yes, there will be a blog on it, but wherever your belief in Christ lies, Welcome! Jesus Christ is my Lord and in His precious Name, I invite you to come and see what is here, and pray it be a blessing to you.
So if you come to read what I have written, I strongly encourage each individual to seek God’s word first to see if I’m accurate according to Scripture, and then to seek those in authority over you (if you do not have anyone you are accountable to, please stop reading and immediately seek God to find people to be held accountable to, it is most deadly to be a lone ranger. Many pastors have their spouses to help guide and correct them…😉 but we all need accountability from within the church.) –if what I am speaking is in agreement with what your particular Church teaches.
Keep in mind, if you find Scripture is in conflict with your theology, or even your church’s doctrine, as Christ clearly showed the Sadducees their error from the Torah, it would be wiser to make changes now than to wait to stand before God in the judgement and try to explain to him why He was wrong…. Keep in mind, we humans are slow to change our thinking, even when presented with clear truth. Our pride and love of being right, our fear of man – what the people we know and love will think, plus our love of comfort and natural tendency to choose the easier, less painful route often clouds our vision and thinking.
When Christ clearly showed the Saducees their obvious Scriptural error, the next verse does NOT say that they all told Christ that of course, He was right! – and they were wrong and they repented there and then of their error and joyfully told all the lay people under their care their mistakes and to follow Christ….. We too often love so many things more than God and His truth, so let us pray for Him to mold and change our hearts to receive all He has for us, because we will all stand before Christ one day and in that day, the only thing that will matter is what He will say of us. (It’s the only thing that matters now, but it’s cloudy down here and sometimes we lose track of this truth.)
Whatever your thoughts, I invite and urge you to come in God’s peace and listen to what God’s Spirit would say, and feel free to share with me as well via email, if you see something in error or that could be better worded.
May God grant us His grace, truth, power, love with humility, and peace as we seek to serve His people.
In His Love,
Mrs. Garin Paul Mason (Christa)
