The Colson Center is awesome and if you have never heard of them, check them out at http://breakpoint.org
Much of the time I heartily agree with their writings, but sometimes I feel an article needs more balance and occasionally I heartily disagree with something.
Being the shy, quiet personality I am 🙄🙄🙄 they never hear from me — ok that’s not exactly true…thus far to their credit they haven’t blocked or blacklisted me but sometimes I am wondering if they are listening… that I give to our Father.
I am commanded in Scripture to speak and to correct and share when I see something harmful or wrong when it is in my power to do so. I certainly am not always right and sometimes need balance myself, but iron sharpens iron and the response of people to my thoughts is between them and God before whom we will all give an account.
I pray to grow in better writing tone; friends have said I occasionally across rude and that is not my intent. But truth and words are important. So…
What We can Learn from the Amish in North Carolina
The tag line was “The Christians should get there first.”
Um, they did…?
Regarding the article on the Amish – that was really weird…so agreed with everything except the weird supposition that the Amish are not fervant believers in Jesus Christ.
The anabaptists are a long line of Christian believers dating back to the time Luther.
Really concerned and curious how you define “Christian?”
Or were you truly not aware that they are children of God thru salvation in their faith in Jesus Christ’s salvation?
A public apology would be appropriate to my thinking and maybe an accurate blog on the Amish and anabaptists.
I am a Christian called to the Lutheran church but I would fear grieving or even blaspheming the Spirit of the Living God to say a group of people who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and believe in Jesus Christ blood for forgiveness of sins do not have the spirit of God and grace just because their understanding of Scripture is different from ours.
We are not saved by Jesus Christ’s blood plus our perfect theology or knowledge, we are saved thru the blood of Christ and the Scripture says pride is an abomination to God (proverbs somewhere).
That was just really weird. It is not our perfect understanding of doctrine that saves us, it is Christ.
And the moment we pass thru the veil and stand before Him, if we didn’t grasp who saves us here, we most certainly will come to understanding of how saved by grace alone WE truly are.🤷♀️
So another blog please with apology to the Amish who are not online? And correct teaching on the anabaptists? But many anabaptists are online for those called a bit more into this culture.

Get and read the book Kidnapped online for sale there about the Haitian missionaries kidnapped whom the Lord set free.
There are many great strengths to these brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus who by God’s grace set their lives apart to live simply, to keep themselves from being polluted by the world so they can focus on worship of God and family.
Like any group they are not perfect and there may be disconnects, but their global Christian impact for their numerical size is astounding and we would do well to imitate their living faith.
Spiritual pride often seeps in to all sides.
Father, help us and save us Lord from our own blindness and sins! Bring Your will and Your kingdom. Amen.
Blessings and God’s peace.
