Lasting Change…

About 80% of the time I agree with the articles coming out of the Colson center. Maybe 90%… There are times where I will challenge their thinking to be a little more scripturally balanced but I thought this article had some really good points in it, though it would not go over as well with my LGBTQ friends.

There still needs gentleness and balance in that area (attitude toward LGBTQ) in my opinion, 🤷‍♀️🙏 with better compassion and understanding of those issues. More justice and less judgement… (Being as willing to deal with the sins WE have committed that fed into this mess instead of just standing against one sin. “I am sorry. I was wrong.” will go farther in repairing relationships than constantly trying to remove the splinters from others eyes….”

But I thought this quote was incredible and I hope this quote gets up there With all the other quotable quotes we have online.

“Lasting change must be built on what we collectively can be for, not just what we are against.”

–by either John Stonestreet or Dr. Timothy D. Padgett

When what humans are collectively for is to live fervently for the Kingdom of Heaven, love for God and people, then there will be that lasting change from the inside out that so many, including creation longs to see.

The whole article can be found HERE.

Teaching about Fidelity and having a Fidelity Month is a great start. (See the article.)

But ultimately any lasting change begins and ends with our Lord Jesus Christ and the cross. It is NOT knowledge – not even Bible knowledge – that will change the world, but God’s all consuming AGAPE love.

1 Corinthians 13:13 ESV
[13] So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
