Letters to Christ's Beloved Church

It’s interesting how we add to the word of God and take away from the word of God and then claim that it’s the word of God. We are proof that we are saved by grace alone.

Please know that these writings come from eight or more years of studying and prayer. That doesn’t make them right. We know in part and I’m just doing the best I can to share what God has shown me in his mercy and Grace and in his word. And he alone gets all the glory. The messenger is nothing just a messenger. God is true and his word is right, so let us not add to it or take away from it.

Thought:  BTW The WORD homosexuality is NOT in Scripture.

It has two meanings: one is a sexual drive which is NOT a sin; it is part of this Fallen World just like an over-sexualized drive or a bipolar nature. The Apostle Paul says were to cast down every imagination, but the hardest thing I’ve ever had to battle was a broken brain and a sinful sex drive that does not want the limits that God’s law puts.

To say it was my hardest battle for years, thankfully no more, is saying a lot as I’ve had people try to kill me.

And so the Warfare is intense and thank God Jesus Christ saves.

So yes being in a obedience to the word of God with our sex drives is a great blessing and something God desires. Everybody has a battle against the lusts of the flesh but for some it is much more difficult a battle than others.

The other definition of the word homosexuality is the act which IS a sin.

SO, if you’ve ever said homosexuality is a sin you are lying. Because that’s a half truth. And the truth is really important and speaking the truth and not lying is really important to God because lying is an Abomination to God according to Proverbs 16.

AND, if you’ve ever said homosexuality is NOT a sin, you are lying. The word is not in Scripture. So for years in the name of the Bible and the word of God we have spoken lies and said things that the Bible does not say. There’s a reason the word of God speaks so clearly. So we can repent of Our Lies, Before the Throne of God admitting that we have lied within the church over the past 50 or more years.

We can admit that that lie was an Abomination to God and that we ultimately bullied one group of people and picked on their sin while ignoring are equally damnable sin. This doesn’t mean we all go around sinning. It means we spend time learning what humility means and asking for forgiveness and understanding the blood of Jesus Christ restores relationships.

It doesn’t mean we don’t set boundaries where we believe we see clearly in the word of God something is to be obeyed. But we are to do so in humility and love, trusting that God’s grace and blood is sustaining all. Not telling God his blood isn’t big enough and the sacrifice of the Cross is not enough for sinners, Sinners such as we.

Just briefly , in inevitably this is a very complicated topic and so I’m just dealing with it briefly, but the gender issues started a long time ago with the breakdown of the women’s place in the home and church, when we lost understanding of the importance of support and how important individuals were in the home was and the worship of God in so many ways was, and when we lost the understanding of Godly male Authority, which lies in service and sacrifice as Christ shows, and a misunderstanding and straying from the word of God there.

The Bible says pride is an abomination. Proverbs 16 Fights for Authority between women and men are based predominantly on Pride. Male Authority is never abuse and women certainly have different things they can do. But when the importance of children and giving birth was diminished, the command of God to Adam and Eve very simply to multiply and he made it pretty fun to obey that command… when the importance of children was minimized in the suffering in having them and raising them by both parents became less worth the value of the children, those are things contrary to the kingdom of God and the kingdom of God the suffering is worth the life. Thankfully we can still see that value system in some parts of the world. Because love is not self-seeking. And so we cannot condemn those in the act of homosexuality while we are in the act of selfishness wanting to live comfortable lives instead of Godly lives. Yet God’s love and grace prevails and he desires us to come to his love and safe place come to the cross in the blood and true salvation through Jesus Christ Our Lord and savior.

But when women who have a womb, not that that is all they are, and we’re given the gift to show the world what’s Godly submission looks like as they submit to their husbands and to male Authority within the church, as that has been Stripped Away and we have not kept the knowledge of God worth retaining there, as the word of God has written, other things have come in and taken over.

We cannot sit there and point fingers at people dealing with homosexuality and gender issues if we do not deal with the core root of the problem.

I’m not saying that was the only issue, but scripturally there was Authority and women we’re graced and called from the beginning of time to be a helpmate to Adam. That wasn’t the negative horrible thing the devil very cunningly made it out to be. But it was a beautiful position of service and love.

And it’s difficult because many in this generation cannot even comprehend that, but if we don’t seek to restore those areas, it’s going to be very difficult restoring the other areas. And if in the places where there was spiritual abuse and male Authority became an abuse, if there is not repentance, true repentance with tears and the willingness to spend life serving those who were hurt, then we cannot expect people in the act of homosexuality or gender transition or committing abortions to repent.

Do you understand beloved for whom Christ died? If we wish others to repent, we absolutely have to lead by example. Pick up our cross, follow Christ into the suffering of this world. Be willing to admit our shame, abhor our pride which is an Abomination before God. Hate what is evil. Cling to what is good. And what is good is Christ.

Yes there is the grace of God and because of his mercy and Grace we are not destroyed. But we can’t pick on homosexuality gender issues and abortion and completely ignore all of the other issues of greed and pride and self-centeredness and lack of love and ignoring the laws of God of Godly Authority within the church that God set up from the beginning, it just isn’t going to work.

And beloved, if we don’t get thus – our hypocrisy and need for repentance – our kids will. If they do not see in US a living faith that works by love that’s willing to suffer and die for them and for those in this world , then we should not be surprised when they do not any longer wish our faith or belief system. When they can find more love and acceptance in the world than in the home and in the church, because we have had so many idols so many things that we weren’t willing to destroy to let the things that matter live, then except for a Divine Act of God, yes, they will go where they feel safe. Where they feel loved and accepted. Yet God gives more grace and all those who cling to him in faith will be saved.

This is a battle, beloved. It’s blessed because God is on our side. But we have to give him our time, energy, money and resources and be obedient in those things to him if we want to see the victory. To Everything there’s a time and a season. The strongholds that have crept in that are not of the Living God that are within the church need to be broken.

Jesus Christ is Lord of his church and he alone saves and he comes and he rescues and his love prevails and he cares for sheep that are wayward and dirty and keep going their own way. But we need to remember that all will stand before him and that his love is enough. The blood is enough and so we are not destroyed. Thank God for his grace and mercy.

There is much that needs to be healed; there is a turning and repentance needed but it takes time and years. We can’t take years to stray from God and think we’ll be able to change our direction to come in line with the word of God in a day.

Ultimately we have lived for the idol of self, building ourselves up and up like the Tower of Babel and when we have not put limits on our greed or our flesh we should not be surprised when others do not put limits on their sexual drives.

If we wish for our country to repent, we must truly lead by example. In our writings, and our doing, allowing self to die and Christ to be exalted.

There’s a lot more that could be said on that but I don’t have time now.

If you wish to make a difference within the homosexual community, within those of different gender issues, be honest with the sin of the person in the mirror. Be honest that your sin is equally damnable and that you truly are saved by Christ Alone and lift up the cross of Jesus Christ. Because we can win the legal battle and lose the war for Souls. If we obey Christ’s call to the Rich Young Ruler and give up what we have and give to the poor and come follow Christ into the suffering of this world, choosing rejection, suffering and pain to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, then may we have the power to at least give Mercy and admit our damnable sins and ask God to work in us and others what is needed that we might live and not die. If we can’t move from our couch and get off our phones to be the hands and feet of Christ, maybe we should stop worrying about everybody else until we’ve seen the resurrection from the dead in our lives that we desperately need.
